INSPIRACIÓN

An archaeological site from the Pre-classical period on the Pacific coast of Guatemala, near what is now La Democracia, Escuintla. It consists of more than 50 mounds. They’re notable for its monumental stone sculptures of large head figures that evoke the Olmec style, as well as an unusual feline mask figure. Today these sculptures can be admired at the Rubén Chévez Van Dorme Regional Museum of Archaeology.
