Kaminaljuyú

One of the most important archaeological sites in the Guatemalan highlands it covered part of what are now zones 7 and 11 of the capital city. It featured hydraulic engineering works that enabled the transportation of water through canals from the now-extinct Miraflores Lake to agricultural fields for irrigating a wide range of agricultural products.
